About a Car Dealer
I have met many people over my years as a home based car dealer, that have asked me
“what’s it like being a car dealer I have always wanted to do that job”
my reply is “its an amazing job” and it really is amazing, and that’s why I’m still doing it for after 25 years.
The market today is still going strong. You must remember people always need cars from a first time drive, upgrade and downgrade to name a few. There always have been and always will be buyers out there. All you need to do is find cars at trade prices and I will show you HOW!
I have been involved in the car industry ever since I left school and have brought cars in many many ways. Here are a few below
Company Cars :
This is when a company sells the cars they own that are coming up to 3 years old. It's a great way to buy cars because a lot of the time, they can be bought at way under trade prices. I have had some very big profits buying cars this way.
Ex-Fleet Cars :
This is when a car leasing company have leased out a car and when the lease agreement has finished, it gets returned back to the leasing company. They then sell them onto the trade.
Car Auctions :
I have bought and sold cars at many of the UK’s leading auction groups, like BCA and Manheim. They can be great places to earn a good living. You can just buy and sell at auctions as a full time job if you don't mind doing a bit of travelling around.
Part-Exchanges :
When someone goes into a main dealer, for example Fords or BMW to buy a new car, but they have a old car they no longer want, the garage will take it off them in a part exchange. Most of the cars are over 3 years old, which is to old for the main dealer to re-sell. So they sell them off into the trade and this is where you can find really cheap cars. It's one of the best ways to find them.
Online :
The internet has really opened up this business. It has become easy to find cars without even leaving your home and there are a number of trade ONLY websites that are selling part exchanges, company cars ect. I deal on these types of websites every day as the cars are located all over the UK and use a collection company to pick them up for me. So if you want to you can sit at home, buy cars online get them delivered to you. Then all you have to do is the fun part of selling them.
